J\u00e1szkun Gyalogezred egyik sz\u00e1zada a hadkieg\u00e9sz\u00edt\u0151 ker\u00fclet sz\u00e9khely\u00e9n, Szolnokon \u00e1llom\u00e1sozott. Az ezred tisztjei elesett bajt\u00e1rsai eml\u00e9k\u00e9re \u00e1ll\u00edtottak eml\u00e9km\u0171vet Szolnokon 1872-ben. A 7 m\u00e9ter magas obeliszk eredetileg a v\u00e1ros f\u0151ter\u00e9n kapott helyet. A v\u00e1rosh\u00e1z\u00e1val szembeni oldal\u00e1n t\u00e1bl\u00e1t helyeztek el a h\u0151si halottak nev\u00e9vel, akik az 1866-os porosz-osztr\u00e1k h\u00e1bor\u00faban vesztett\u00e9k \u00e9let\u00fcket. 1879-ben egy \u00fajabb t\u00e1bla ker\u00fclt fel a boszniai hadj\u00e1ratban elesettek eml\u00e9k\u00e9re.
